Porto Antico di Genova SpA, was formed on 30.12.1994 and operate since January 1995.
The Company received under concession from the Municipality of Genoa until 2050, all the spaces in the Porto Antico area: over 130,000 square meters of which 71,000 square meters of surface indoor and 59,000 square meters outdoors.
In 2019 Porto Antico di Genova S.p.A. acquired from Fiera di Genova S.p.A. in liquidation the “fairs” and “darsena” branches, thus further expanding the areas and activities of its competence.
The partners are 51.95% Municipality of Genoa, 37.2% Chamber of Commerce, 6.01% Finanziaria Ligure per lo Sviluppo Economico F.I.L.S.E. S.p.A. and 4.84% Port System Authority of the Western Ligurian Sea.
The company today combines the “historic” objective of returning to the city the ancient port, making the area livable and enjoyable all year round, that of managing and also to develop the various local exhibition activities and the dock of the Genoese exhibition center, with an ever-leading role in relaunching the territory also at a national and international level.
Porto Antico di Genova S.p.A is a central reality in the new city waterfront which in recent years has been in continuous and progressive evolution.
Through the management of structures of general interest, the realization of cultural initiatives, the development of trade fair and congress activities and the organization of events even outside its institutional offices, it actively contributes to making Genoa and Liguria a pole of an increasingly interesting cultural, tourist and commercial attraction.
The congress activities of the Cotton Warehouses Congress Center, and the design and management of the events organized in the Porto Antico Area, have been ISO 9001 certified since 2004.
