Ice on the sea.
Porto Antico’s skating rink is the only place in Italy where you can skate on ice while enjoying the panoramic sea view.
Open from November to April, the Ice Skating Ring is one of the favorite winter meeting places in the city: here you can have fun with friends, take part in one of the animated events or learning skating or hockey classes for both beginners and advanced skaters.
Equipped with a modern system of ice cooling, Porto Antico’s skating rink is home to the training of the city’s ICE Club Genoa sporting team

The ice skating rink is located under the canopy of Piazza delle Feste, the structure anchored to the Bigo designed by Renzo Piano, which in winter abandons the role of concert venue to make space for the mountain atmosphere directly at sea level.
Its dimension can compete with the latest alpine slopes, and offers skates available in all sizes so that both children and adults can enjoy ice-skating.
The ice skating rink is open from Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 24:00; on Saturdays and holidays eve from 8:00 to 1:00 and on Sundays and bank holidays from 8:30 to 24:00.
Each shift of access lasts two hours where speeding on the ice in full freedom (and security of course). Between shifts the ice will be smoothened again in a small half-hour break, to make it as good as new!

Many themed events.
The music of the moment and dynamic lighting and colors create the right setting for the traditional events organized during winter: Santa Claus, the Epiphany on skates, Valentine’s Day parties, Carnival Festivals and Easter celebrations.
