Train in Porto Antico

The Porto Antico has always been chosen by runners and sportsmen to train.
The regular paving, the pedestrian layout of most of the area and certainly the breathtaking view, especially at sunset, which adds an extra motivation.

How to train?
You can choose between three running routes, a double equipped area and two areas for free-body exercises to train safely.

Fitness area in Porto Antico: The running paths

“Train at the Old Port” is the running route that develops in a ring throughout the entire area of the Porto Antico/Old Port, passing through the most scenic spots.

Starts from the Spindle to touch the ends, the Cotton Warehouses and the Aquarium, with three different lengths, 900 meters for the Cotton Warehouses, the Millet (1.61 km) and 3 km, marked with a horizontal graphic, respectively yellow, red and blue.

Fitness area in Porto Antico: The equipped areas

An outdoor gym has been set up near the playground, divided into two different areas.

Area 1 – green tools. In the area are installed 6 different tools: parallel bars, triple low bar, inclined bench, high traction station, lat pulldown station for the dorsi and a position for the abs.

Area 2 – purple tools. The new equipped area has been designed to be enjoyed by everyone – over 14 years of age – regardless of physical preparation. The new workstations set up in the second gym. It is a press leg, a Tai Chi wheel for the arms, a twister for the mobility of the pelvis and abdomen, a walker to walk safely and a bench with double pedal.

Free training

To complete the route two areas, marked with markings on the ground, for free-body gymnastics, the first at the head of the dock of the Cotton Warehouses, facing the entrance of the port and the lantern, and the second near the pool. In addition to the ground signs, a double-sided route map between the fitness area and the play area shows the training stations.
